Third-Party Code Inspections

The following paperwork is required returned to AmeriCode via email to inspections@jpl-ll.com:

1. Project Set Up Sheet - request sheet below.
2. DOB - Notice of Intent to use Third-Party Agency - Download Below. Must be completed and signed by owner.
3. Copies of all permits and approved plans.

1. On-Site Inspection Record Card - Download Below - must be printed and on-site.
2. ALL Trade Permits - printed and posted at building entrance.
3. Approved plans - must be printed and on-site.

1. Create an account with Access DC https://accessdc.dcra.dc.gov/.
2. Create an account in Tertius DOB (dc.gov) - Be sure to connect a payment that you wish to use for inspection costs.  You can change this, but we are required to invoice through the Tertius system and collect payment this way.
3. Select AmeriCode as Third-Party Agency for project – you can search by permit number or address.
4. We will send you back a proposal.
5. You accept the proposal, and we take it from there.

To add permits to an existing job:

1. Locate job in Tertius under confirmed jobs - Select View and Manage
2. In first block where is says "Project Details" - click the small gray arrow on the right-hand side to expand the section.
3. Select "Add Permits" 
4. Add trade permits by number.
